A full panic-anxiety attack can be a truly frightening experience, making the victim appear totally helpless.


The cause of a panic attack is high anxiety which is a fear of a real or imagined threat. It’s a very common human emotion.


The trigger often seems to be exhaustion – physical, mental and emotional exhaustion. When people are in this state they are more open to attack.


However it’s very important to remember that with panic attacks or general anxiety help is available and it’s best to get help as soon as possible.

Numbness or a tingling sensation
Chills or hot flushes

Usually an anxiety attack begins with a bodily sensation from the list above. The person then reacts with fear that the symptoms are indicators of a more serious threat and in turn reacts with more fear which escalates into a state of heightened anxiety.
