I need an effective diet program for my daughter, she’s just 14 years old but she already weighs 180 lbs. But with all the programs being promoted out there today I’m confused on where start.
Anyway, here are few recommendations I found online: it’s a healthy diet for teenagers. I’m going to try this at home. I just hope it will work on her.
Breakfast
A skimmed yogurt or 100 grams of fresh cheese or a glass of low fat milk;
A slice of bread
A fresh fruit, for fructose, vitamins and fiber, or, failing that, a glass of fruit juice.
Lunch
150 grams of fish or lean meat (alternately with two eggs twice a week) for protein
200 grams of green vegetables of your choice.
A small bowl of whole grains and potatoes
5 grams of sunflower margarine
100 grams of fresh cheese
A fresh fruit
Afternoon snack
A 0% fat yogurt
A hot or cold drinks, no sugar or sweetener.
Dinner
A bowl of vegetable soup made at home
150 grams fish or meat in the oven without fat
200 grams of green vegetables with 10 grams margarine for essential fatty acids
A slice of bread
A fresh fruit.

Today i’m joining Food Trip Friday! It’s my first time to join this Meme and to start with i would like to share with you our favorite summer dessert.
This is the delicious and nutritious Halo-Halo we ordered at Chowking.

If you like to try Halo-Halo you can prepare it at the comfort of your home. Here’s the Halo-Halo recipe.
* 2 tablespoons kaong or
* 2 tablespoons langka (jackfruit)
* 2 tablespoons macapuno (a variety of coconut meat sold in bottles)
* 2 tablespoons sweetened kidney beans
* 2 tablespoons sweetened garbanzos
* 2 tablespoons sweetened ripe plantains
* 2 tablespoons ube or yam
* 2 tablespoons custard or crème caramel (leche flan)
* crushed ice to fill glass
* 2/3 evaporated milk
* a scoop of magnolia ube macapuno ice cream on top
Directions: Put everything in a bowl. Followed by shaved ice, evaporated milk and scoop of ice cream. Others chose to top the dessert with just ice, milk and sugar.
