We often hear the phrase “you are what you eat”. I believe it is true because what we eat plays a big role in how we grow and develop. It influences our health. Good nutrition should be a part of every person’s life.

Gardening is a fun way to teach our children about good nutrition. Planting fruits and vegetables in our own backyard is not just good for our family’s health but it also develop good habits. Gardens promote health in two ways: it produce nutritious foods and provides exercise.

If  ever I will be blessed with a huge property, I will surely maximize the use of the land. I will build a large garden full of fruits and vegetables. I will place garden flags around to label each plants and trees. I will grow herbal plants as well since I prefer natural herbal remedies when treating minor sickness over the use of conventional medicines.
