This is the new dietary guidelines released to the public by US Department of Agriculture, changing the food pyramid into a plate.

My Plate

The plate icon makes a better and easier visualization of a healthy meal—half of the plate should be occupied by fruits and vegetables, while fruits and grains stay on the other. The smaller blue circle separate from the rest of the plate signifies how much dairy should be consumed.

The old food pyramid is more detailed compared to this one so i still prefer the old one. How about you, what do you think of this new dietary guideline? Share us your insights. 🙂
