I read from a news report that eating cooked white corn grits is one way to avoid the risk of diabetes. That is according to an official from the Department of Agriculture. He said white corn, when processed into grits, can be a good staple suited for diabetics. White corn has higher amylose content that makes it harder to gelatinize and digest.

White corn is also known to have a low Glycemic Index (GI), which means that carbohydrates breakdown more slowly, thus gradually releasing glucose into the bloodstream.

So if you are positive for diabetes, it is recommended to eat food that is low in GI like white corn.

There are warnings issued by the Department of Health and Food and Drugs Administration against harmful toys being sold in stores, Christmas bazaars and trade fairs. According to them, they have tested several toys and discovered some to be containing harmful chemicals like lead.

They advised the parents to buy safe toys only from accredited and legal stores. To check the label thoroughly, look for “nontoxic” markings and read the chemical contents to ensure that the toys have no lead and other toxic chemicals. The toys are usually smuggled goods so they did not undergo official process and documentation.

A very shiny toy and with paint that rubs off on hands may have lead according to DOH-FDA head.

It’s really enticing to buy different cheap toys in the market but we should think first the health and safety of our kids. Because if we don’t, we will surely regret it in the end.

This is it for now, i still have to look for tom tom gps supplier. I hope this post will guide you in making your decisions when buying toys for your kids.

Have you heard the news about a certain woman trying to double her size in order to become the world’s fattest woman in spite of the warning from doctor that her experiment may kill her. Well her name is Susanne Eman, a 330-kg mom from Casa Grande, Arizona, the United States.

The 32-year-old single mother of two is trying to balloon from 330kg to a record 730kg in ten years. She has already surpassed the former heaviest mum, Donna Simpson, who weighed in at a paltry 317.5kg.

To reach her target weight, Susanne Eman is trying to consume over 20000 calories per day. Although Eman’s body is enveloped with the huge rolls of fat, she says she feels healthier and more attractive in her rotund state. “The bigger I get, the better I feel. I feel more confident and sexy. Why shouldn’t I push the limits and see how fat I can get and stay healthy? I’d love to find out if it’s humanly possible to reach a tonne.” said Susanne Eman.

Due to her weight Susanne Eman is currently impossible to work. But, she stays active by doing simple exercises and she always have a regular health checks. “I take my blood pressure once a week, and every day, after I exercise, I take readings of my other vitals. I use a pulse oximeter to measure the concentration of oxygen in my blood stream.”

Dr. Patrick Flite, said that although Eman’s medical checks showed no current problems, she is really playing Russian roulette with her life with this goal. He also said that he would never encourage anyone to follow what she is doing.

How about you? Would you like to be the world’s fattest woman ever? ^_^
