Yesterday February 14th we celebrated Valentine’s Day with a romantic candle light dinner in our Church. We had a couples event where married couples joined together to celebrate Valentine’s Day. It was full of fun and memorable experiences.

A part of our celebration was an exchange gift for husbands and wives. Everyone prepared a gift, there are flowers, chocolates, perfumes, picture frames for the wives, etc. and shirts, wallet, hankies, underwear and even strapping tools for husbands. Everybody expressed their love and appreciation for each other.

My husband and I have been married for 16 years now and we’ve been through a lot of ups and downs during those years. Now we’re thankful there are support group in our Church for married couples that helps strengthen the marriage of its members.

As we all know a happy marriage leads to a happy family and a happy family is a healthy family.

What a stressful way to start the new week. While we’re  on our way to our office our car suddenly stopped. My husband tried to re-start the car but it won’t start.  It was an unexpected emergency situation. Good thing we are just a few meters away from our office so i was able to call our company drivers to rescue us.

The driver checked the cables and in just few minutes the car then start to ignite. I’m glad we didn’t have to call for a mechanic. I was saved from spending again for car repair. I thought my budget for the leather briefcase i’m planning to buy would be used for car repair. Thank God my savings was spared from another unplanned expenses.

I’m thinking of taking up bead jewelry making lesson. I’d like to find ways to destress from the rigours of working life and doing bead crafts i think is a cheaper way. I can’t afford to frequently go on a shopping, watch movies, go to a spa like what others do when they are stressed and burn out.

My friend gave me teardrop beads last Christmas that’s why the thought of taking up jewelry making lesson popped into my mind. I can use her gift and at the same time start a new hobby that promote health and wellness. Yes, many have already testified the therapeutic health benefits of crafting.
